  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Oh boy not again.! Yum updated our Bind to 9.3 and totally hosed the configurations. Now I'v gotten it to run after so much trouble. Bind is running but am unable to do anything in the Plesk control panel because apparently it can't manage dns. Bind is running in a chroot environment.
I get this error when I try to add a domain or do anything.

"dnsmng() constructor failed: dnsmng failed: dnsmng: Unable to open DNS config file: No such file or directory

0: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/class.dnsmng.php:12 psaerror(string "dnsmng() constructor failed: dnsmng failed: dnsmng: Unable to open DNS config file: No such file or directory")"

Bind 9..3 seems to be running in a chroot environment and it looks like plesk needs access to /var/named/run-root/var/ and gets 'permission denied.'.

You guys know how I can get plesk to manage Bind?

Thanks in advance.
