  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
    If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Resolved Brotli not working

paulober

New Pleskian
Hello,

i have following nginx folder structure:
Code:
~$ ls /etc/nginx/modules.available.d/
brotli.load  modsecurity.load  pagespeed.load

~$ ls /etc/nginx/modules.
modules.available.d/ modules.conf.d/

$ ls /etc/nginx/modules.conf.d/
phusion-passenger.conf

~$ ls /etc/nginx/conf.d/
phusion-passenger.conf  ssl.conf  zz010_psa_nginx.conf

The brotli.load contains following lines:
load_module nginx/modules/ngx_http_brotli_filter_module.so;
load_module nginx/modules/ngx_http_brotli_static_module.so;

The Plesk docs say that brotli would be enabled for my nginx proxy by default, but it doesn't know the "brotli" statement in nginx configs and site tests confirm that it isn't working at the moment. I activated direct static file handeling via nginx but it still does not work.

Any idea how to solve this to get brotli compressen enabled and gzip as fallback?

Thank you for the quick response. After i create the symlinks it works. But why does Plesk state Brotli support as enabled by default if it isn't and there isn't any advice then this forum history...

Also i cannot use "brotli: on;" or "brotli: off;" <- "unknown" but i works now for static files.
