cannot create new domain

Trying to add new domain but get the following:

Failed domain creation: Unable to update domain data: Unable to create the DNS zone for the domain:
dsnmng failed: dsnmng failed: Unexpected error

Not sure if this has anything to do with it but had a problem trying to delete a domian earlier and followed the instructions to manually delete it from psa, IIS and MailEnable.

Have read all the forums relating to this but haven't solved the problem.
