• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Changing Apache FileETag for PCI Compliance

DickenW

New Pleskian
My Plesk server is currently failing PCI scans:

"Description: Apache ETag header discloses inode numbers Severity: Potential Problem CVE: CVE-2003-1418 Impact: A remote attacker could determine inode numbers on the server."

I have added the following line to '/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf':

FileETag MTime Size

I have added it twice - in the main body of the file, and also inside the primary <Directory> directive, as I was not sure where to place it.

But, Apache is still failing the PCI scans for disclosing inode numbers.

And yes, I restarted apache ;)

Any ideas what else I have to change to get this to work?
(Plesk 10.3.1 CentOs)

Add this to a file within /etc/httpd/conf.d/ (assuming you're on Centos) :

Header unset ETag
FileETag MTime Size

Then restart Apache (and make sure you're not declaring something different in your .htaccess files!)
