• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

ClamAV, DRWeb.. both?

I currently have Plesk 7.5.3 operating on a RHE 3 server and everything seems be working fine.

I have Plesk + Expanded, etc and I have SA and DRWEB.

However I have some scripts I use that use CLamAV to scan files for virii, is it alright to compile ClamAV on the server, and just have it accessible so php scripts can call it via php's system(); function?

I'm not wanting to use clamav to scan emails etc, since DrWeb already does that, I just need to use ClamAV for some functionality in scripts.

Suggestions? (re-coding script is not an option.)

ClamAV = FREE server wide scanner
DRWeb = limit to 15 email accounts scanned unless you pay for a license to support more.

I don't even use DRWeb in favor of ClamAV, and I would rather users weren't in control of virus scanning on the server. Oh, and did I mention ClamAV is free?:D

What is the easiest way to get sieb up and running on Plesk 7.5.3 with RHE 3 then?
