  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Resolved Correct Plesk version for CentOS/CloudLinux?

MisterX

New Pleskian
Hello,

I'm a new user of Plesk Onyx.

I have updated my CentOS 7 server with Plesk Onyx to CloudLinux.

In Plesk but the following version is displayed to me:

Version: Plesk Onyx v17.0.17_build1700161028.14 os_CentOS 7
OS: CloudLinux 7.3 (Yury Malyshev)

Is that right?

Because the following versions are also displayed in Plesk Components:

Awstats - 7.4-centos7.16102516
Dovecot - 2,2,18-centos7.16102814
Dovecot dovecote - 0,4,8-centos7.16102616
Nginx - 1.11.4.1-centos7.16100518
Php56 - 5.6.28-centos7.16111112
Php70 - 7,0,13-centos7.16111018
and so on

Does this all have its order?
Thanks for your help!

Hi MisterX,

Does this all have its order?
Yes... all is fine here.
Pls. be informed, that "CloudLinux" is based on "CentOS/RHEL", while CloudLinux re-compiles and adjusts RPMs and rewrites/patches them for compatibility reasons. As you can see, CloudLinux even takes un-compiled software packages from CentOS 7, while on "Ubuntu" for example, you might see pure "Debian" - packages being installed. ;)
