Darwin Streamserver on Debian 3.1 Linux

Hello at all,

I'm from Austria and i would like install the Darwin Streamserver on my Debian-System with Plesk8.

My first carry to install the Server on my Sytem is sadly collapsed.

At first i had download the Server from http://developer.apple.com and then unpacked in a Dictionary and at last run the Installation with ./Install!

Effect:
Almost Datafiles can't not written on the System and he gives me the Message "No such file or directory", but the Installationprozess can be finish with create for username and password.

I don't know how i can solve this problem and please at all to help me by this problem to solve them or can give a tip how can i install this Server on Debian or can give a tip for an other good Opensource-Streamserver that runs on Debian (To can prozess Quicktime or Mediaplayer Movies)!

Hello,

i created it to run my Darwin Streaming Server but i have unfortunately that problem that the quicktime player don't plays the movies from Server.

I had not install the build server version but i had compile i own version.

The server run and the player can connect to the movie over the adress rtsp://sampleadress.com/samplemovie.mov, but can't play this.

Firewall ports enabled: 554 (Tcp, Udp), 1220 (tcp), 7070 (tcp), 49152 (tcp), 65534 (tcp)

What can i do to solve this Problem?
