• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Difficulty changing default mail directory

CliffordS

New Pleskian
CentOS 6.5 running on Linux 2.6.32
Parallels Panel 11.5.30 Update #28, vanilla install

I'm attempting to change my default mail directory using the instructions laid out in the following article:

http://kb.parallels.com/en/6312

Permissions all look good on the copied directories but I'm encountering two problems after the move:

1) Attempts to check mail for a moved account using the roundcube webmail interface fail at authentication with the following error: "Connection to storage server failed."

2) Messages sent to a moved mailbox show as delivered in the maillogs (and do not bounce back to sender) but the message appears in neither the old directory nor the new directory

What am I missing?

Reversing the process to restore the original default directory corrects the first problem and allows new messages to be delivered but messages sent while the mail directory was set to its new location never appear -- They've disappeared into the ether.

Additional info, logs and etc available on request.
