Disabled onunload popup?

I'm unsuccessfully trying to run some code on a site. The code works on my local development box an also works on an internal company web server.

I'm basically trying to use the onunload event to call JavaScript that either uses either window.open ("... .asp") or parent.framename.location.href=" . . .asp". Other commands within the script are working so I know the script is firing off.

Is there an attribute enabled or service running that is intended to block 'Exit Popups'?
