• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

DNSBL and Whilelist

Hi,

As long as I know, the DNSBL configuration is taking action upfront qmail to reject messages based on the block list.

What I don't know, is if I put *@somedomain.com in the server wide whitelist, all messages from [email protected] will be bypassing the DNSBL check...

Can anyone answer this ?

Cheers

No, unfortunately the blacklist filter is before whitelisting; its like the outer ring. Once it passes or blocks emails, then the other spam filters (like spamassassin) get their chance.
The idea behind DNSBL is not wasting resources on known spam sites.

saludos,

Hello,

For the moment behaviour will be the following:

If the mail address is blocked by DNS Blackhole List then it will be blocked in any case even if the mail address is in the white list.
