When we create a new domain our server spends upwards of 5 minutes at full CPU. Initially it will spend some 30-60 seconds before it returns control, and after that it will spend 3-4 minutes doing post-processing tasks.
We can't exactly tell what it spends so much time on. We see CPU activity from sqlservr.exe, lsass.exe and plesksrv.exe. The server has virtually no load from any other tasks.
We have a bit over 1000 domains registered on the server, and the problem has grown worse with the number of domains.
Using Plesk 8.1.1 for Windows with MS SQL.
Are we stuck or is there anything we can do about this? It looks like things will break down completely before we have 2000 domains registered on the server, and that much less than I'd expect.
