• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

When trying to setup a domain I get the following error message. :

Error: Unable to update hosting preferences: WebServerManager::addVhost() failed: websrvmng failed: No mapping for the Unicode character exists in the target multi-byte code page. (COM Error 80070459) at addHosting(domain.com)

It seems this error message only shows when custom error documents are ticked. This is a 2008/IIS 7 intall....

I haven't encountered this error before, does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks,

Nick

Update: This error has shown up again today on another 2008 install, this time I played about and enabled customer error documents and the error went away. Very odd indeed...
