fail2ban nor working?

Regular Pleskian
I see no log generated in
/var/log/fail2ban.log

although

running 'service fail2ban status' gives:
fail2ban-server (pid 9653) is running...
Status
|- Number of jail: 1
`- Jail list: ssh-iptables

I am able to stop/start the service with the Plesk interface.
