• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

FTP doesn't work with firewall enabled

First I have to admit that I am a newbie to plesk, so I hope that my questions isn't that stupid.

I noticed that when I enable Plesk Firewall, I can not connect to the server using ftp any more (I used WS_FTP_LE). I suppose that it has to do with the ports that are blocked using the firewall. But the manual says that ftp is not blocked when the firewall is enabled. I already checked that the service "Routing and Remote Access" is started.

Any idea's?

Thank you for your help.

The problem has been fixed by changing the following property in WS_FTP_LE:

Advanced properties - disable "Passive transfers"
