  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Hi,
some of our emails return with the following error message:
<[email protected]>:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xx does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 504 5.5.2 <h123xxxx>: Helo command rejected: need
fully-qualified hostname
Giving up on xxx.xxx.xxx.xx.

There is no fully-qualified hostname in /var/qmail/control/me but only the first part of the name (h123xxxx).
I inserted the full name h123xxxx.stratoserver.net and restarted qmail and the mails didn't bounce anymore.
How can I change this entry so Plesk would not overwrite it again.

The entry for hostname in plesk's server preferences was already set to the full name.

#hostname also returns only h123xxxx

Update:
Seems that the Server keeps the manual settings in /var/qmail/control/me
No Problem with outgoing mails after putting the full hostname in the 'me' file.

#hostname still delivers only the first part of the servername.
