High traffic setup for apache/Mysql ?

Hi all,

i'm running Plesk 8 under RHEL5.

Sunday evening, i need to be able to accept an enormous traffic on the only website i'm hosting during few hours.

Could someone tell me how to be sure that my server will give it's best : Apache + Mysql..

Are there any default setup configuration file to modify in order to get the best ? (mysql query limitation by number or something that would prevent my server to use all its power (cpu,memory...)to serve clients..)

Ps : my server is a dual CPU running with 2Gb of memory and hosting only 1 domain
