I run Suse Linux 9.3 with Plesk 8.0.1 on a 1&1 root-server. The mysql datadir is in /var/lib/mysql. Unfortunately, they've made that partition too small for my databases. What would you suggest to do? Should I change the mysql datadir?
I've tried a lot to do that, but it didn't work
First I've copied the mysql folder to another place with cp -R -p /var/lib/mysql /srv/mysql
Then I've changed the datadir in /etc/my.cnf and in /etc/init.d/mysql and rebooted, but then Plesk didn't work anymore
Please let me know what I have to do to move the datadir to another place.
Thanks,
Andreas
