Once again, Quiksilver held their annual bowlriders event in Malmo, Sweden. Instead of rain and overcast skies, we had temperatures overpowering the competitors and sunburns' heat tolerances through the crowd, signs of a hole in the ozone layer.

Div Adams and Jimmy the Greek made off with a significant portion of the money given out, which most likely went into the costly price of alcohol (proof of socialized healthcare).
The wind stairs turned into a barrier to base tricks around. Div started off it with a 5-0 to fakie over. Midway the older lipslide roster withdrew in. In the end, Cardone frontside flipped the thing.
About a minute in, Rune stuck on the Indy homosexual twist at the go, which set the standard for the type of skating that would triumph.
Jon Magnusson would casually cruise making the difficult lines appear simple and hitting on each nook and cranny.
Alain Goikoetxea threw a hurricane to fakie on the cement wall across the loveseat, and and tranny combined street skills into ollie into nosepicks on the head. Ross McGouran tweaked a lien which seemed like a melon fakie the last minute, when it would turn into forward.
Nicky Guerrero showed what its like to skate professionally for almost two years, and Mattias Nylen rounded out the top six. When the results were announced, it wasn't any real surprise to see Rune initially, neighborhood Jon Magnusson in second, and Alain in third.
You can go claiming some type of hometown hero advantage thing, unless you were there -- and you might. Magnusson skated the park that the very best that it may be skated.
