We got a dedicated server and we opt'd not to have a control panel, 1) because we already have a valid license 2) we wanted to use a 64bit os which they don't support with Plesk 3) we wanted to use red hat 5 which they don't currently support with any control panel 4) I wanted to install the latest version of plesk 8.2 which they currently don't support either. (SoftLayer)
When I have them OS Reload a RedHat 5.x, it is loaded with just about every package, I spend a while and remove them one by one, but is there any faster way to clean up the system to bring it down to near minimum install level easily.
Another problem is I cannot seem to be able to create a local PHP.INI on a per domain basis, I was under the impression you can just put under the httpdocs folder and it will use it locally.
And finally, will 64 bit give a big performance gain over 32 bit running Plesk?
