i have this problem whit plesk 7.5 on Fedora Core II
Sometimes mysqld is crashed!!
If i restart the psa whit "psastopall" the plesk doesn't start correctly...and i have some errors on mysql.
the only solutions for restart plesk correctly is reboot the server!

The error message in /var/log/messages is:
Jul 17 22:06:52 test01 relaylock: /var/qmail/bin/relaylock: Unable to connect to the mysql database, relay will work in closed mode & white list will not work

Jul 17 22:05:23 test01 drwebd: Error: Plesk Software not running.
Jul 17 22:05:23 test01 drwebd: Avvio drwebd failed
Jul 17 22:06:21 test01 relaylock: /var/qmail/bin/relaylock: Unable to connect to the mysql database, relay will work in closed mode & white list will not work

i don't have another error, it's a strange problem because this situation it happens irregularly!
do you have ideas?
