• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.

Question IP intrusion detection blocks all my clients

carlsson

Basic Pleskian
Server operating system version
Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
Plesk version and microupdate number
18.0.58 Update #2
I have moved four of my clients to my new mail server on Plesk, and all of them have been banned by the IP Intrusion Detection function. It’s enough that some people don’t understand all email settings and when they do that the same time on the same network they’ll get banned.
Quite tiresome.

I wonder if you guys have a suggestion on a better setup for this? I could for example raise the Number of failures to 100 or so, during the days when they set up their email clients. Or is there a better way?

If you know their IP you can add it to the Trusted IP Addresses list. We have one client who doesn't want to track down the phone that's been failing POP logins since last summer, and yet is surprised when their office changes IPs and it gets blocked again.
