limitation of sub-domains

it looks like the sub-domain creation feature of plesk is limited, it just creates the dns records and ftp account.


apache was not configured properly to serve the newly created sub-domains, also users can't browse the directory (no control panel for the sub-domain ), I couldn't find any trace of the new sub-domain in the file system of the main domain

Finally I created a new domain <sub-domain.domain.com> for the user.

Works just fine for us. Files for the subdomain go under ~/subdomains/<name>/.

if works fine, what you want is not the default way that it works. Your solution to the problem should give you what you want and work fine as well.
