I am having a major problem with qmail. It won't send to a remote server.
E-mail going to a local address is sent fine but remote mail doesn't work (I am using an authorized mail account - not a relay).
I would check my logs and post those, however... they somehow got deleted (not my fault... really! ) and qmail doesn't recreate them. So I essentially have no way of telling what is going on.
However, I do know that the mail just sits in the "remote" queue. It is never removed.
Local mail goes through fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Summary:
How can I recreate the log file so qmail starts logging again?
(step by step please... example... vi maillog... type :wq!... chown ... etc... I don't want to forget something)
Does anyone have any ideas on why the remote mail won't go through?
This is a crippling problem.
Thank you.
