• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

MAPS and SMTP on or off

Hi

I am after 2 pieces of advice.

1st.. Is MAPS fixed in 8.1.1? It seemed to stop working in 8.01. If I enabled it, no mail flowed. I understand this was probably down to some DNS problem, but I couldn't get it working with even 1 RBL in the list.

2nd.. I want to turn offf SMTP relaying. I am trying to get my clients to use their ISP's smtp offering instead. I just see it as an unnecessary risk. If I choose the option to close relaying SMTP under Mail settings under Server, will this stop incoming mail, and will it stop Horde from being used to send mail?

Simple questions I know, but any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
