  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi Guys,

I've just installed my RHEL 4 and install Plesk beta 7.5.4 on my server which is basically empty (not hosting anything)

I have dual Xeon 3.0 processor with 2 gig of ram

After installing Plesk beta, I check my server statistic and plesk is show 98% usage of memory!!

Why is that so? We are not running any website, basically nothing there as it is a new server.

My swap file is showing as 0%.

Would appreciate if someone can tell me why is Plesk show 98% usage of memory. Thanks in advance

linux will naturally use the extra memory as a cache and frees it upon demand.

free -m

according to what applications see, you have the memory free for what's listed under "free" for the row "-/+ buffers/cache"

an unused resource is a wasted resource.
