    With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.

Migration RH9/Plesk --> FC2/Plesk

I'm looking at migrating a RH9 server to FC2.

The OS upgrade is quite OK to do but the Plesk upgrade is resulting in the following issue:

The only way that I seem to be able to upgrade plesk from RH9 to FC2 is to first remove it and then reinstall it in FC2.

This is not ideal being a live system I do not want to remove plesk.

Any advice on how to migrate this more smoothly?

Or is there any way to force Plesk Fedora to run on RH9 thus preventing the uninstall?

Thx

You can force the RPM installation of the Plesk RPMs even if the RPMs are for a different OS. Supposing that you live upgrade the server OS from RH9 to FC1, you can upgrade Plesk RPMs without any issue.
It's ideal that during that upgrade to upgrade Plesk also.

Let me see if I understand this correctly.

Should I upgrade Plesk to FC1 first or the OS first ?

So will plesk for RH9 run on Fedora 1?

I basically looking for a system that allows me to go RH9-FC2 without breaking plesk along the way.

I suppose if I do a force install of plesk FC2 on RH9 it will still be broken until the OS is updated?
