Monitor all traffic through eth0 adapter

I used to use Vnstat to monitor traffic through my network adapter, eth0. However I have had problems with this program resetting on a monthly basis.

Can I setup Plesk to monitor ALL traffic through the eth0 adapter and then report that to a log file ?

Try ntop as a possible alternative?
