• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

MSDE versus SQL2000

im not sure if this is the right place to ask. so please move to the appropriate forum if its not...

We have several shared Plesk servers each with around 100 domain on them and lots of DNN sites

We have SQL databases setup on a remote sql server as we have been told that running them on the plesk server will cause problems

so my question is is the internal MSDE or sqlexpress setup suitable to run on a plesk server with 100 domains and say 50 DNN installs or is it not capable of this

and secondly can a P4 3.0 with 2Gb ram cope with running plesk and sql2000?

as an alternative is there a way to cluster the servers around one SQL 2000 or 2005 server so that clients can still use the plesk sql functions to create and maintain their databases while running the sql server on a seperate dedicated?
