• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

MU 24 and/or MU 25 break qmail-smtpd

HostaHost

Silver Pleskian
Just a warning for those updating their Plesk 9 servers with the MU 24 'major' security update or the MU 25 PCI compliance update; MU 25 introduces a new autoinstaller version, and you may need to re-run it a second time for the microupdates to actually be applied; it won't give an indication that all it updated was the autoinstaller unless you're used to running microupdates all the time and notice the list didn't spit out at the end.

Additionally, on about 25% of the Plesk 9 servers we updated, the permissions on /var/qmail/bin/qmail-smtpd ended up set to 644 instead of 755, causing inbound email to break. You'll want to check for that after each run of the autoinstaller and fix if necessary.
