• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New installation... can't access port 8443

I just finished installing Plesk 8 on CentOS 4 according to the instructions... everything went great but I can't access the control panel via port 8443.

This is on a remote machine with no firewalls or other restrictions. I don't see any entry for 8443 in /etc/services, so it leaves me confused. Any thoughts?

This is very strange... I've verified that port 8443 is open and that the psa service is running... but I'm not getting a response back when I request the admin panel. When I visit the IP of my server on port 80, the default Plesk page comes up, but port 8443 gets no response back from the server.

Maybe something went wrong with the installation? It didn't throw any errors...

Oh man... I can't believe this but the reason I couldn't access was because I wasn't using https. Instead I was using http to attempt to access the control panel. Can't believe it was something so small... oh well, live and learn.

8443 does not work

check this out Iam getting the same stuff as you but for me when I tyoe the IP https://216.87.221.26:8443/ that Iam supost to ge tthe panel access I dont get anything and plesk is running how do you fix that

@kzumba: Do you have any firewall running? Iptables? If so, try to stop it for a short while and see if that helps. Dont forget to start it again...
