• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

openvpn install and iPhone

I want to VPN to my server and use it's IP.

I installed openvpn

I used 172.16.0.1 and 172.16.0.2 since they are free.

Is this correct?

Lastly how do I connect via my iPhone?

It uses either L2TP PPTP or IPSEC

But it needs an account and password.

How do I set up?

It's a iPhone so I can't install any software.

Thanks!

Are you sure that it is Plesk related question? I think you should ask it on apple.com

I got the VPN working on my fedora desktop, but it only pings I can't push web traffic through it.

I simply can ping 172.16.0.1 with a 200ms lag that is about right
and 172.16.0.2 with a 0 ms lag

How do I push all http traffic over this?

First you would need to set up the plesk server to masquerade or otherwise NAT your traffic, and secondly configure openvpn to instruct the clients connecting to act as the default gateway. This is also called "Split Tunnelling"

I don't know if there is an openvpn client for the iphone, you'd need to poke around for that. Openvpn itself is a layer 4 SSL VPN, it is a completely different technology than ipsec or l2tp.
