perl scripts forbidden

When i try to access _any_ file ending in .pl I receive a 403 forbidden error message.
"You do not have permission to access this document. "

Permissions are correct and renaming the file to .html and I can access fine.

Ideas? Suggestions?

You need to add an .htaccess file with the following content:

Options +ExecCGI
AddHandler cgi-script .pl
