• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

php4/php5

Yesterday I installed Plesk 8.1. So far everything seems to work fine except I don't like the php version.
First time I installed Plesk on a clean Ubuntu 6.06 server. After I was finished I noticed it was using php4. I really want to use php5, I tried installing again later and this time I installed Apache2 MySQL5 and PHP5 myself first. After the Plesk installation was finished I was back using php4...
I read elsewhere on these forums Plesk uses the default php version of your system, but since that's php5 on Ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper) that doesn't seem to be the case.
Can anyone help me out?

The psa server itself uses php5, but it tries to install 4 as a default for the websites.

It is possible to use php5 with plesk however.

Oddly enough on this very same board, only a few threads down is a thread aptly titled.

plesk 8.1, unbuntu 6.06LTS server and Php5...

Search more next time =)
