• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
    If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

PHP5 + Mambo and other Application Vault scripts
-----------------------------------------------------------

As far as I can see from the home pages of various scripts that are being installed via the Application Vault -- such as "Mambo" -- they are more or less compatible with PHP 5. However, we get these errors when trying to install:
--------
The component version on the server does not satisfy the site application's requirements. == 4.x.x ..... 5.1.2-4.3.rhel4
--------

The Plesk FAQ has this to say about these errors:
( http://kb.swsoft.com/article_19_1122_en.html )
Some applications from Application Vault do not support and do not work correctly with PHP 5.
If PHP 5 support is not officially featured by this application vendor, then PHP dependency
is set to == 4.x

To me this seems like an "artificially" created error (by Plesk software) that doesn't need to be there. Am I right? Is there a way to solve this? Any suggestions?

John
