PhpMyAdmin: Login as root and have full access

Ok.. so I can find phpmyadmin under each domain if i create a database.. no problem.

I want to access it as root though.. or as it is - admin. i cant find anywhere else to get into phpmyadmin and they've even gone to the trouble to REMOVE the bloody logout button so i cant re-login as a different user.

im pretty sure this is doable because ive seen it mentioned before.
