• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Plesk 10.2 Issues….

Gene Steinberg

Regular Pleskian
1. It doesn't recognize changes to the default Webmail app. I've switched from Atmail (pathetic) to Horde, but it kept giving me Atmail, even after I disabled Atmail as a registered Webmail app.

The symptom appears only when you go to the Webmail screen via webmail<domainname>. If you click on the Webmail link in the control panel, under the relevant domain, it works.

Solutions?

2. This isn't quite 10.2, but here's the deal:

Using the Parallels Plesk Panel 10 Migration Guide, I prepared my server to receive domains from a cPanel install. Using the provided scripts, I changed the default location for Web files from /var to /home, to keep with the cPanel tradition. After the usual configuration and permissions headaches, it works for the most part. But I cannot get the stat programs to update more than the default once per day. Apparently the stat scripts are looking for the /var/www/vhost, etc. path, and don't recognize /home/, etc.

What/where do I change? What should I enter instead?

Peace.
Gene
