  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Plesk and Anonymous FTP

New Pleskian
Hello,

I'm using Plesk 12.5.30 to administrate an ‪Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS‬. I'd like to use this same server to share files using an anonymous FTP access (reachable with an URL such as "ftp://files.mydomain.org/ftp/folder/path"

I googled to find a solution and it seems that I can't do it using Plesk if I don't have a dedicated IP adress for the server. But I have about 15 websites on the server and the server's IP is shared... and I would realy like to use this server to share files...

So my question is : What's the best way setup an anonymous FTP access to a folder using this server ? Can't I really do it using Plesk ? Can I use proftpd (as Plesk seems to use a custom version of proftpd) ? Is there another way to do it ?

Thanks in advance for your answers :),
