  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi,

We were using port 587 for message submission pretty well under 8.3. After upgrading to 8.4 it does not work anymore. No entry in maillog.

I works for in-server accounts, but not for external addresses:

I get this report in Outlook:

El mensaje no se pudo enviar, uno de los destinatarios fue rechazado por el servidor. Su dirección de correo electrónico es "[email protected]". Asunto 'prueba g7', Cuenta: 'mail.yyyyyyy.com', Servidor: 'mail. yyyyyyy.com', Protocolo: SMTP, Respuesta del servidor: '553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)', Puerto: 587, Seguridad (SSL): No, Error de servidor: 553, Número de error: 0x800CCC79

I have to revert to port 25 to send messages.

Version psa v8.4.0_build84080514.19 os_FedoraCore 4
OS Linux 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4smp

Any help?

Regards,
Alejandro

The extra file you put in /etc/xinet.d/ may have been deleted when you upgraded, or there may be a conflict.

Remember that 8.4 now has built-in support for the submission port. There's a tick box somewhere to enable it.

So check your /etc/xinet.d/ to see if the file you put in there to enable port 587 is still there or not, and make sure you either just use your version or just enable it in plesk but not both.

Also check that your firewall is still allowing port 587.
