• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
    To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Problems configuring virtual host names on my plesk dedicated server

I have setup two websites setup in plesk mydomain1.com and mydomain2.com, they are both set up to run php files.
/var/www/vhosts/mydomain1.com/httpdocs
/var/www/vhosts/mydomain2.com/httpdocs
vhost.conf for mydomain2.com
DocumentRoot /var/www/vhosts/mydomain1.com/httpdocs/cms
<Directory /var/www/vhosts/mydomain1.com/httpdocs/cms>
<IfModule sapi_apache2.c>
php_admin_flag safe_mode Off
php_admin_value register_globals 0
php_value magic_quotes_gpc 0
php_value magic_quotes_runtime 0
php_value allow_call_time_pass_reference 0
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_php5.c>
php_admin_flag safe_mode Off
php_admin_value register_globals 0
php_value magic_quotes_gpc 0
php_value magic_quotes_runtime 0
php_value allow_call_time_pass_reference 0
</IfModule>
</Directory>
However, after pointing the home directory for mydomain2.com using:
Firstly - vhost.conf to over the original virtual hosting specifications created by plesk
And
Secondly using symbolic links:
ln –s /var/www/vhosts/mydomain1.com/httpdocs/cms httpdocs
/var/www/vhosts/mydomain2.com/httpdocs -> /var/www/vhosts/mydomain1.com/httpdocs/cms
In both cases when I go to mydomain2.com from my browser the php files are being forced to download to my local machine and are not compiling from the server.
Any idea as to what is causing this and how it can be to resolved?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
