Problems with Templates

WojtekM

New Pleskian
Installing Templates

I cannot download additional templates from http://www.parallels.com/de/download/sitebuilder4/templates/. Only SFX (.sh) files are downloadable. I cannot install them on my system: Debian Squeeze Plesk, 11.0.10. I get an error "Site builder configuration script not found".

I also cannot run sb_config command.

Templates in my actual Web Presence Builder 4.5 are all same for all categories, only colors and images are different. Is it right state?

Hello,

I assume you are using Web Presence Builder but not Sitebuilder 4.5 version. In Plesk Server Management -> tools & settings -> Server Components you should find PPSitebuilder component installed.
This is actually different from Sitebuilder 4.5 product.

If so, that's the reason you can't use "sb_config" command is it's related to Sitebuilder 4.5 and earlier version but not new Web Presence Builder one.

As for downloading templates all of them should go pre-installed with your Plesk.

Hello,

thank you for your reply. Yes, I use Web Presence Builder in Plesk 11.0.10.

The component PPSitebuilder is present at the mentioned location.

There are preinstalled templates - they are all same and differ only in colours schema and header banner

Is this possible to install those more attractive web templates from http://www.parallels.com/de/download/sitebuilder4/templates/ in Web Presence Builder? My all attempts failed. As said I could also only download the SFX packages from the link above. Running them on my server resulted in error: "Site builder configuration script not found".

[Plesk 11.0.10 / Debian Squeeze]

Those templates which you are trying to download and install will not work for your installation anyway as they are purposed for old version of product which is different one on back and front-ends.
With Web Presence Builder you have only number of pre-installed templates (no additional templates available at the moment) but more powerful tools for design customization: color schemes, structure..etc.
I suggest you to play with it more and try different options to see how it works and which style will better suit your needs.

Hello and thanks for explanation.

Is this possible to downgrade from Web Presence Builder to Site Builder?
And, is it possible to create custom templates for Web Presence Builder?

Thank you.

Hello and thanks for explanation.

There is no way to downgrade as this is different product. Sitebuilder product is separate one and can be installed separately even not with Plesk but as standalone (but you need additional license for it).
But please note, Sitebuilder 4.5 is latest version and it's not developing anymore. Only patches available for critical issues.

You can check the following documentation on customizing site templates:

http://download1.parallels.com/Plesk/PP10/10.4/Doc/en-US/online/customizing-topics-in-wpb/

Hope this could be helpful.

Thanks.

May I deactivate Web Presence Builder and Install Site Builder without conflicts?
Where can I order Site Builder License?

I see the potential in Web Presence Builder, but regular customers want to see Templates to choose from. So at the moment is Site Builder with additional templates, more attractive.

You can leave the Web Presence build but just deactivate it on the license.

Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder can be installed on the same Plesk installation as standalone.
