psadump wont dump - just stops :(

hey folks,

thanks to an update of plesk my entire server seems strange (top or ps dont show any processes, apache doesnt start automatically anymore and hangs after each day, reboot isnt possible, just hard-reset etc..) i wanted to backup my customers data via psadump.

psadump starts, heads forward until it reaches:

[Sun Dec 11 17:02:30 2005] dumping directory '/home/httpd/vhosts/.skel/0/.' ...

there it just stops. system load is 0 while waiting so i figure that nothing is happening at all...

could you please assist how i can move my customers without the backup-utility to a new server with same plesk version WITHOUT!! resetting email-accounts/passwords etc.
