• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Restore Plesk system owner and group permissions

A server we managed recently managed to get the following command executed on it chown -R someuser:psaserv /* and as you can imagine, this caused a few issues. We've managed to get everything working so far, the only thing we don't have working is the actually Plesk control panel. Can anyone advise on the correct owner and group permissions to get the Plesk control panel functional?

Thanks for getting back to me. I just tested this on a another install of Plesk we have before trying it on our live server and it appears to have broke our install. We now get 500 - Internal Server Error on the server I just tested it on. Which is the same error were currently getting on our live web server.
