• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

RHES4 + atomic

Hi folks,

I've been searching the forums but have not really found a definitive answer. Here is my situation.

I have built a new RHES4 server for Plesk. I really want to make use of the ART stuff for plesk b/ it is more up to date, etc.

My question is if I use all of the channels available (include base and updates), how does this effect the 'status' of RHES4? For example, would it best to use RedHat for the base and updates and just the PSA stuff from atomic? I sort of tried this and I get dependency problems.

In short, what do y'all do who use the ART repository? Do you go full out and use everything? Are you running RHES4? If you go full out, wouldn't it just be easier to use CentOS4 instead?

Sorry to go off. There is a lot of information on ART, but I was not able to find a single document that sort of explains how it all works. If I can figure this all out, maybe I'll write one. :)

thanks,
mikeS
