• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

shmpages allocation

Hi All,

We have 2 identical VPS's with 2 different providers. According to our plans we get 256 MB guaranteed and 1GB burstable RAM.

The privvmpages hard limit appears to be OK on both machines: 262144.

Whereas the shmpages limit is different: 131,072 (VPS1) and 10,000 (VPS2).

And we can barely run anything on the VPS2, shmpages is at 90-99% pretty much all the time and I get a ton of failcnt. The VPS2 provider argues that we need to upgrade in order to get the shmpages limit increased.

Any ideas what the shmpages limit should normally be? How should it correlate to the total memory size?

Thank you.
