  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Sitebuilder E-shop problems

We are attempting to use HostGator and Sitebuilder for a small retail site that accepts custom orders.
Ideally, we would be able set up a field at the product level for the customer to enter names and etc when ordering a customized product.

Since that doesn't seem to be available, the next best thing would be a 'comments' box on checkout to allow for giving us that information.

When I get down to the checkout process, I have a screen that appears to have a comment box (no heading), but it is not active.

Just to make matters worse, the continue button is also not active, so there is no way to complete the order. I even went so far as to publish to the site with e-store available and booked a dummy order. Everything works (fairly well) down to this screen. After fiddling around a little, I discovered an unlabled checkbox on the lower left. If I check that, the continue box activates, but not the comment box.

I sent all the information HostGator support, and they were able to duplicate the situation, but said that since there is no way to modify the functionality of e-shop at that level, it must be a problem within the code and directed me here.

HELP

I need to at least get a solution for the comment box and checkout problem. Ideally, somebody could also get me a solution to setting a field on a product for a customer to enter data into.

Hi,

Its not a comments box. Its realted to the Terms and conditions. The checkbox is there for you to accept but you can edit the text associated with that.

What you want to do isn't possible or at least I havent figured out a way. I've had the same issue. I wish there was a comments box.

Regards

Patch

Hi,

First of all, please review the following part of documentation related to "Terms of Service" option:
http://download1.parallels.com/SiteBuilder/4.5.0/doc/user/en_US/html/toc5626994.htm

As I remember there was an issue with this option in Sitebuilder. In the attachment you can find the patch for the issue with E-shop and terms of service fields. File /usr/local/sitebuilder/resources/modules/include/Modules/Eshop/Order.php must be updated with one from the attached archive. Please unpack archive and make an update.
NOTE: Please make a copy of the old file just in case before updating it.

After that user(s) must make full site republishing so changes take affect.

Let me know about the results.
