• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

slow connect and response time server

Hello,

I have a Plesk box with an AMD Duron 1300, 512 MB DDR Ram but sinces I upgrade from Plesk 6 to Plesk 7 a couple of months ago the connect time (now around 0,20 sec) and the response times (around 0,30 sec) is much higher than when it was with Plesk 6.

The box has not much websites/domains (around 3 with average traffice and a couple with minor traffic). I have lookup with "ps aux" if there were cpu consuming processes but there weren't any. Also when I look with the command "top" it's most of the time for 98% idle. But the box is still slow, sometimes too slow.

Does anybody have any idea what I can do about this, does it something to do with the upgrade to Plesk 7? Is this box underpowered now (with the AMD Duron 1300) ?

Thanks for any ideas about this issue.
Regards
Joost
