SpamAssassin and SmarterMail spam controls

Does anyone have SmarterMail and SpamAssassin installed and using both for spam control?

Is SpamAssassin needed if the controls are set in SmarterMail?

Any adivce appreciated.

You can use SmarterMail and SpamAssassin separately or together.
You can select this application in Plesk - Server Components Managements.

I suppose my question really was is it worth the extra expence of having both? Is there anyone who runs both that can recommend it?
