• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

New Pleskian
Hello,

If I reboot my Plesk server, psa-firewall fails to start with the following message:

startpar: service(s) returned failure: psa-firewall ... failed!

If I log into Plesk, navigate to 'Tools & Settings' > 'Firewall' > 'Edit Firewall Configuration' > 'Apply Configuration' > 'Activate', the firewall starts working.

I cannot find anything really relevant in the syslog except for this:

Apr 18 23:46:50 18 kernel: [ 180.878162] ip6_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team
Apr 18 23:46:52 18 kernel: [ 182.788767] ip_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team
Apr 18 23:46:52 18 kernel: [ 182.830706] nf_conntrack version 0.5.0 (16384 buckets, 65536 max)
Apr 18 23:46:52 18 kernel: [ 182.830830] CONFIG_NF_CT_ACCT is deprecated and will be removed soon. Please use
Apr 18 23:46:52 18 kernel: [ 182.830831] nf_conntrack.acct=1 kernel parameter, acct=1 nf_conntrack module option or
Apr 18 23:46:52 18 kernel: [ 182.830833] sysctl net.netfilter.nf_conntrack_acct=1 to enable it.

I am running Debian 6 2.6.32-5-amd64. This is a new installation and the only Plesk related extension that I have installed is the psa-firewall.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

MrKman
