• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Sub Domain domain alias for sub domain (different domains)

New Pleskian
Hi,

I have a domain: abc.com and its sub-domain: sub.abc.com.

I have another domain zzz.com. i want to point sub.zzz.com to sub.abc.com

For that i have pointed sub.zzz.com A record to the server IP. Problem is that zzz.com is also hosted on same server. So when i try to add domain alias to abc.com , it says cant create alias, domain already exists.

Please help.

Thanks.
Sash

Change A record won't be enough. The proper ways could be
1) just make sub.zzz.com be hosted at the same folder as sub.abc.com. This way visitor will keep seeing sub.zzz.com at their browser
2) make sub.zzz.com a forwarding to sub.abc.com. This way visitor will have URL changed from sub.zzz.com to sub.abc.com
