Subdomain as Full Domain, possible?

Hello,

I am having trouble finding the right solution to an SSL certificate for a subdomain. I do not have a wildcard cert, so I am planning to purchase another certificate for the subdomain (m.domain.com).

So the main question is:
Can I create a domain as a subdomain in plesk, to get around the limitation of needing a wildcard cert?

Secondary question:
Is this the right course of action, are there any other recommendations?

Yes you can definately do that, I do that a lot and it works great.
